At East Colonial, we believe "It is much better to recycle than cut trees." Our FSC® Recycled label ensures our furniture is made from 100% recycled teak, preserving forests and preventing illegal logging. Sourcing aged teak from Blora, we work with small-scale suppliers like Aminah, who delivers reclaimed wood daily, supporting local communities. Once received, the wood is sorted, cleaned, kiln-dried, and crafted into furniture. Skilled artisans remove nails and hinges, revealing the wood’s rich character. Even leftover scraps are repurposed into finger-joint panels, handicrafts, and mosaic pieces like those in our "Rust Teak" collection, ensuring no material goes to waste.
